The clients require a provider of medical software consulting and development services to design and build secure software as per their vision, which could help in improving the quality and accessibility of their medical services.
The client commissioned DigiPrima to plan and develop a custom telehealth and EHR software solution. DigiPrima assembled a team of experienced experts in the healthcare domain, including a Project Manager, a Business Analyst, a UX Designer, a UI Designer, Senior Back-end, Front-end Developers and Mobile Developers, and a QA Engineer.
DigIPrima business analysts evaluate key stakeholders to gain a deep understanding of customer needs and use this information to design solution functionality and create software specific to healthcare management.
DigiPrima team designed the EHR system solution, which includes:
Schedule management-Digital Clinic provides the scheduling system with the necessary data to build an optimal agenda and stick to it.
Patient Tracking- EHR can manage patient status, and send alerts to the front desk.
EHR directs the flow of work assignment, delegation, and transmission of tasks to the appropriate parties.
Digital Clinic software creates patient-specific care plans, guidelines, and protocols for managing patient care.
The facility does continuous satisfaction tracking and analysis, reporting any frustrations experienced by the patient.
Patient Chart- Digital Clinic groups patients' health information into electronic charts, providing a summary of data including billing details, vaccination dates, allergies, medical history, lab and test results, and current health problems.
Patients log in and can actively participate in their care such as checking their recent travel activity, tracking their symptoms, scheduling follow-up appointments, receiving automated appointment reminders, even virtual visits, paying for visits online, requesting drug refills, and more.
“DigiPrima regulatory compliance consultants assisted in the software design phase to ensure compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations and to establish secure medical data exchange.”
Start by defining the requirements of your appointment system. What features should it have? Who will be using it? What kind of appointments will it be used for? Consider factors such as appointment types, scheduling rules, and user roles.
Choose a platform to build your appointment system on. You can either build it from scratch using a programming language like Java, Python, or PHP or use an existing software platform like WordPress or Wix that offers appointment booking plugins.
Design the user interface for your appointment system. Make sure that it is user-friendly and easy to use for both the patient and the healthcare provider.
Implement the scheduling logic for your appointment system. This should include rules for appointment types, scheduling availability, and appointment confirmation.
Integrate your appointment system with a calendar to manage appointments and scheduling. You can use popular calendar platforms like Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook.
Test your appointment system thoroughly to ensure that it is working as expected. Once you are confident that it is working well, launch your appointment system and start taking appointments.
Monitor the performance of your appointment system and make improvements as needed. This can include adding new features, fixing bugs, and improving the user experience.
Cloud-based EHR systems can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection, making it easier for healthcare providers to access patient data from multiple locations and on multiple devices.
Cloud-based EHR systems can be more cost-effective than traditional EHR systems that require expensive hardware and software installations. Cloud-based systems can be paid for on a subscription basis, which can be more affordable for smaller healthcare providers.
Cloud-based EHR systems can scale up or down based on the needs of the healthcare provider. As the number of patients and healthcare providers grows, the system can be scaled up to handle the increased demand.
Cloud-based EHR systems can receive automatic updates, ensuring that the system is always up-to-date with the latest features and security patches.
Cloud-based EHR systems often have robust security measures in place to protect patient data. These measures can include encryption, access controls, and regular backups to ensure that patient data is always secure.
Cloud-based EHR systems make it easier for healthcare providers to collaborate and share patient data. Providers can access patient data in real-time, which can help to improve communication and collaboration between providers.
